Patriotic dance
PAVILION Kuala Lumpur is showcasing the patriotic “1Malaysia Tourism Dance” at the Bukit Bintang Main Entrance every Saturday for shoppers and visitors. The dance, which is choreographed by professional dancers from Tourism Malaysia, has received tremendous response from tourists and shoppers. Employees of Pavilion KL are now the resident dancers who will perform with the dance troupe. This activity was initiated by Pavilion KL and is aimed at spreading unity and cultural awareness among the public. Talk on Adult Stem Cells

Thai artist
TMS ART GALLERY is having an art exhibition entitled “Night Dream” which features the very first Thai solo artist exhibition by Muhammad Rojana-Udomsat. The exhibition ends on Nov 30. Art exhibition
THERE will be an art exhibition entitled “Lautan Tiga” by three artists Suhaimi Abdul Wahab, Tuan Azhar and Zainal Abidin Musa who are friends since their days of studying fine art at ITM. The works on display are free from the impositions of mainstream art trends. These are works that are a result of the artists’ own unconscious detachment from popular art developments. Forum on sculptures
GALERI Petronas will be having a session called “Forum with Sculptor” today from 3pm to 5pm. The forum will be conducted by Tengku Sabri Tengku Ibrahim, Mad Anuar, Raja Shahriman Raja Aziddin, Fathi Aris and Ustaz Asri Zainuk Abidin. The forum will encompass sculptures from the social, cultural and religious perspectives.
Gempak Starz carnival
THE 100% Gempak Starz Carnival will be held at the Sungei Wang Plaza concourse level today. This event only happens once every two years and is going to be a fun-filled event with many events lined up for everyone, especially the comic enthusiasts. There will be a specially built Comic Classroom Studio to let the audience experience the “live” feel of Gempak Starz’s comic artists’ studio and observe how they work. Apart from that, there will be artworks display of the Peraduan Bakat Baru Komik Malaysia 2009. Interactive games and autograph sessions for children with Little Monitor, Elemen and Go Go Class magazines’ comic artists are also part of the event.
Christmas musical
HARVEST Community Church (HCC) is ushering in an early Christmas with their musical production of “The Gift Goes On”. This Christmas story about giving will be performed by the youth and children of HCC. Science fair
THE 4th Sciencetech Inter-School Innovation and Invention Competition organised by Sciencetech Education Sdn Bhd will be held tomorrow at the Cosmo’s World Theme Park’s Galaxy Stage in Berjaya Times Square. It will be held from noon to 5pm. Sciencetech Education offers hands-on science & robotics technology (SRT) enrichment programme for primary schoolpupils. This training programme integrates students’ ability of creative thinking, innovation and at the same time spurs their interest in SRT.
Fun run
THE management of Kesturi Sdn Bhd, along Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) will be having the Dukethon, a 5km run on KL’s newest highway on Sunday. The fun-filled event starts with the runners being flagged-off by the Works Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor. This is followed by free hot air balloon rides throughout the morning as well as exclusive car shows, car simulator rides and fun games and activities for the whole family. Pet fair
Animal lovers are in for a treat at the Cutie Pet Fair at the 1 Utama Shopping Mall’s Central Park today and tomorrow. The event organised by pet lifestyle magazine Petster will showcase more than 30 commercial booths which sell various pet products ranging from food to fashion. Dogs and cats will also be put up for adoption at the fair by various animal welfare and advocacy groups. A free legal aid clinic will be held at the Zone 9 Community Hall, Jalan Sri Puchong, Taman Sri Puchong tomorrow from 10am to 1pm.
